The crucible is made of highly hydroscopic ceramics (contains a large amount of water/moisture/), which when heated rapidly (up to 1450°C) can lead to cracking and metal spilling through the inductor in the electronics of the casting machine and cause severe damage. For  long and effectively use of the crucible and to avoid serious damage to the casting machine, we recommend drying it in advance (at 90-100°C, ideally above 540°C) before first use and every time if it is not used daily to remove the chemical moisture. In this case, the risk of cracking or breaking the crucible is minimal.
